Mr. Parker Berry Ulmer, 74, of Pine Grove Road, Walterboro, entered into rest Sunday morning, October 20, 2013, at the Oakwood Health Care Center in Walterboro.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 oclock Wednesday morning, October 23, 2013, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Churchyard, 99 Pine Grove Road, Walterboro.
Born February 9, 1939, a native and lifelong resident of Colleton County, he was a son of the late Jesse James Ulmer and the late Leary DeWitt Ulmer. He was a retired electrical mechanic from the former Walterboro Electric on Jefferies Boulevard in Walterboro. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church No 1. An d will be remembered as a country boy who loved Westerns and Nascar Motor Sports.
Surviving are: a son, Timothy Ulmer and his wife Jodie of Walterboro; a daughter, Sharon Murdaugh and her husband Ryan of Walterboro; two sisters, Wilma Ulmer of Ruffin and Jennie Muckenfuss of Yulee, Florida; and three brothers, William Bill Ulmer and his wife Judy of Orlando, Florida, Jesse Joe Ulmer and his wife Bunky of Round O, and Jerry Ulmer and his wife Cindy of Leland, North Carolina. There are five grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews that also survive.
