Pamela Ferguson

Mrs. Pamela Jane Ferguson, 73, of Cottageville, entered into rest Friday, October 25, 2024, at her residence.

Born January 13, 1951, in Walterboro, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Calvin Ferguson and the late Elizabeth Rentz Fergson and was raised by her grandparents, the late Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Ferguson, Sr.   She worked a dedicated career with Pruitt Health Care in Walterboro, where she retired after thirty-two years of service as a certified nursing assistant.  She was a lifelong member of Edisto Pentecostal Holiness Church, having been active in the church’s shoebox ministry.  She will always be remembered for her love of cats and watching old westerns.

Surviving are: a sister, Loretta Ferguson Dandridge (Ricky) of Cottageville; adopted siblings, James Ferguson, Leon Ferguson, Jr., Rufus Ferguson, and Ruth Pippins; two nephews, Matthew Ferguson and Aaron Dandridge; a niece, Dana Dandridge; and a large and extended family to include cousins, Ruby F. Conwell, Margie F. Crosby, and Steve and Pearl Ferguson.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Leonard Ferguson; and a sister, Deborah Ferguson Wadford.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, October 30, 2024, from Edisto Pentecostal Holiness Church, 24576 Augusta Highway, Cottageville.   Interment will follow in Meeting House Cemetery.   The family will receive friends prior to the funeral ceremony beginning at 1 o’clock in the church sanctuary.
