Mr. Otis Albert Peters, 76, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at Colleton Medical Center.
Interment will be held privately in Ehrhardt Cemetery.
Born July 9, 1938 in Colleton County he was a son of the late Lamar Rudolph Peters, Sr. and Hazel Ehrhardt Peters. He was the great grandson of Conrad Ehrhardt, founder of the Town of Ehrhardt. He loved fishing, hunting and gardening. He also enjoyed boxing, watching westerns and watching gospel shows on tv.
Surviving are: his children, Allen D. Peters, Sr. (Chris) of Ruffin, Patrick Peters, Sr. (Molly) of Richmond, Virginia, Sidney Beach (Janice Barnes) Walterboro, Carl Lucky Beach of Beaufort, Sonya Nettles (P.J.) of Walterboro and Vicky Lyons of Walterboro; brothers, Lamar R. Buddy Peters, Jr. of Bamberg, John Fitzgerald Jerry Peters of Charleston, Tony Peters of Greenville and Reginald Dale Peters of Texas; sisters, Grace Strobel of Summerville and Gail Davis of Lexington; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his step mother, Margaret Peters; son-in-law, Danny Lyons; brothers, Benny Peters, Jimmy Peters, and Douglas Ehrhardt; and a sister, Wanda Elgin.
