Odette Krauss

Krauss, Odette, J. “Mémé”, age 97, formerly of Arlington Heights and recently of West Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, December 26, 2022. She had been vacationing with her family on Edisto Island, SC, for the Christmas holiday and was surrounded by her loved ones that fateful day.

Born in France, and a WWII survivor, she was the cherished daughter of the late Jules and Elisa, Sennepin; adored wife of the late Edward R. Krauss “Papa”; loving mother of Alan and wife, Katie; beloved grandmother of Brittany and husband, Ethan Reiker; dear sister of the late Jeanine Sennepin (Mercier), the late Claude Sennepin; the late Marcel Sennepin, the late Guy Sennepin, and the late Raymond Sennepin; doting aunt of many wonderful nieces and nephews, treasured family member of the Armstrong, Barnes, Davis, and Reiker families; and caring friend to many.

Odette was an incredible woman of countless talents and skills who will be sorely missed. We love you so very much, Mémé… what a remarkable life you lived. Rest in peace, dear lady.
