Mr. Nolan Ray Bailey, II, age 79, of Walterboro, the "Famous Wrecker Man" entered into rest Tuesday afternoon, March 24, 2026, at his daughter's home with his loving family at his side. 

Born October 31, 1946 in Corpus Christie, Texas, he was a son of the late Nolan Ray Bailey, I and the late Audrey Vipond Bailey.  He served our country faithfully in the United States Air Force and was the owner of the well-known and iconic Nolan's Garage on the Green Pond Highway in Walterboro. Nolan will forever be remembered for his devotion to a community he dearly loved and always present when called upon.     

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed in his memory to:  Friends of Colleton County Animal Shelter, 33 Poor Farm Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon, March 27, 2026, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  The Reverend Mike Polk officiating.   The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony.
