Mr. Noel Oscar Crosby, 85, of Walterboro, entered into rest Saturday afternoon, January 26, 2014, at the Oakwood Health Care Center in Walterboro. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Frances Marie Hudson Crosby.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, January 29, 2014, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend James Beverly and The Reverend John Harbin officiating.
Born November 16, 1928, a native of Colleton County, he was a son of the late Perry Crosby and the late Inez Stanfield Crosby Bazzle. He was a farmer and retired log truck driver. He was a member of Green Pond Baptist Church and because of his love for hunting and fishing, was also a member of the Prices Bridge Hunting Club.
Surviving are: four children, Jeannie Giardina, Ricky Crosby, Michael Crosby, and Perry Crosby all of Yemassee; three sisters, Pearl Brabham, Jeanette Crosby, and Doris Morrall all of Walterboro; and a brother, Charles Bazzle of Walterboro. There is one grandson as well as several, nieces, nephews, and cousins also surviving. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
