WALTERBORO " Mrs. Nina Jean Groves, 51, of 144 Foxfield Road, Walterboro, died Wednesday afternoon, September 17, 2008, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro under the care of Hospice Care of South Carolina.



Funeral services will be conducted 1 oclock Saturday afternoon, September 20, 2008, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro with The Reverend Daniel Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Walterboro.



Mrs. Groves was born March 29, 1958, in Walterboro, and was a daughter of Mr. Johnny Stone and Mrs. Eleanor Stanley Stone. She was an accountant and was a member of North Side Christian Church. She will be remembered for being a loving mother to her children and grandchildren.



Surviving in addition to her parents of Walterboro are: her husband of 35 years, Mickey Groves of Walterboro; daughter, Ashley Groves Thomas and her husband Mack of Walterboro; a son, Mitch Groves and his wife Teri of Walterboro; two brothers, Ricky Stone and David Stone both of Walterboro; and three sisters, Betty Stone and Sharon Thorson both of Walterboro and Janice Klee of Greer. There are two grandchildren, Mack Thomas and Alyssa Groves.
