Ms. Nancy Kay Hudson, 52, of Fire Hill Road, Walterboro, entered into her state of eternal rest Friday evening, July 9, 2010, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.



Funeral services will be conducted 11 oclock Tuesday morning, July 13, 2010, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Churchyard, No. 1, 99 Pine Grove Road, Walterboro.



Ms. Hudson was born October 14, 1957, in Colleton County and was a daughter of the late Joseph Premal Hudson, Sr. and the late Nellie Rae DeWitt Hudson. For twenty-five years she was a waitress at the Huddle House on the Bells Highway in Walterboro and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church No. 1. She possessed a great love for people, but more especially her grandchildren and great nieces and nephews who she would always gather together and create arts and crafts with. She was a longtime Elvis Presley fan and she will always be remembered for her loving heart and the care and compassion she had for others.



Surviving are: her daughter, Debbie Driggers Bennett and her husband Bruce of Walterboro; a brother, Joseph P. Hudson, Jr. of Coden, Alabama; and two sisters, Myrtle Weatherford and her husband Larry of Walterboro and Sharon Hayes and her husband Chuck of Walterboro. There are three grandchildren, Michaela Rae Bennett, Jacob J.P. Bennett, and Zachary Bennett; as well as several great nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved as her own grandchildren that also survives. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Wayne Hudson.
