Myrtle Weatherford

Mrs. Myrtle Ann Hudson Wolf Weatherford, 64, of Cavanaugh Road, Walterboro, entered into rest Friday morning, February 1, 2013 while at her son’s residence in Lancaster, South Carolina. During her life she was twice married, first to the late Mr. Robert Lee Wolf, Sr. and secondly to the late Mr. Larry Thomas Weatherford.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, February 5, 2013, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Michael Dyer and The Reverend Ken McCaskill officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Baptist Churchyard, 99 Pine Grove Road, Walterboro.

Born October 18, 1948, a native and lifelong resident of Colleton County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph P. Hudson and the late Nellie Rae DeWitt Hudson. She worked for Asten Hill, Inc in Walterboro from 1976 until 2000 where she retired as a pin seam operator. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church No. 1 where she was active in many aspects of the church and at her church she for many years taught Sunday school and was a member of the Women’s Missionary Union. She will be fondly remembered for being a loving and gentle person, who was a great southern cook, loved to socialize, and read.

Surviving are: two sons, Jack Edward Wolf and his wife Jennifer of Lancaster and Larry Dale Weatherford of Camden; three daughters, Judy Ann Wolf of Statesville, North Carolina, Christi Weatherford of Vance, and Reese Mann of Alabama; a brother, Joseph P. Hudson, Jr. of Mobile, Alabama; and a sister, Sharon Lee Hudson Hayes of Walterboro. There are fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren as well as a daughter-in-law, Tammy Wolf of Walterboro that also survive. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Lee Wolf, Jr.; a brother, John Wayne Hudson; and a sister, Nancy K. Hudson.
