Myrtle Cattles Stoneback

Myrtle Rose Cattles Stoneback, age 78, passed away on March 18, 2021 in Titusville, Florida.  She was the widow of the late Henry Thomas Stoneback, Sr.

Born July 23, 1942 in Charleston, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Martin Lucius and Lillian Victoria (Cammer) Cattles.  Mrs. Stoneback moved to Florida in 1983.  Her passion was her dedication to raising her 5 children and all the rest of her family.

Survivors include: her children, Henry Thomas, Jr., Brenda Lee Wilson, Carol Violetta Stoneback, Michael Anthony (Stacey) Stoneback and Sherry Lynn (Mark) Derby; siblings, John Rutledge Martin Cattles, Victor Caroll Cattles, and Shirley Cattles Ward; 17 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jimmie Rogers Cattles, Lucius Allen Cattles, Glenn Edward Cattles and Steven Jerome Cattles.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics.

Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Thursday, March 25, 2021 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Ackerman Cemetery at Red Oak, Cottageville.
