Biography
Mrs. Myrtle "Myrt" Lyons, 59, of Bull Bay Road, Smoaks entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 15, 2012 in Orangeburg.
Funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock in the morning on Monday, March 19, 2012, in Buckhead Advent Christian Church. Burial will be in the Hagan Cemetery.
Mrs. Lyons was born April 22, 1952 in Colleton County and was a daughter of the late George Lyons and Martha Linder Lyons. She was a retired seamstress with the Smoak's Manufacturing Company. She was a dedicated member of the Buckhead Advent Christian Church. She was a faithful worker in the community and loved helping others.
Surviving are: her husband of 32 years, David W. "Bugeye" Lyons, son, Jamie Carter and his wife, Nancy, of Aiken, brothers, Rev. J.E. Lyons of Branchville, Billy Lyons of Hampton, Buddy Lyons of Smoaks and Steve Lyons of Branchville, sister, Elizabeth Bunton of Columbia, grandchildren, Ciera, Austin and Lane Carter and several nieces and nephews.
