Myrtle Gaskins

Mrs. Myrtle Durr Gaskins, 70, of Ruffin, died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Trident Medical Center. She was the widow of William Earl Gaskins.

Graveside funeral services will be held 2 pm, Monday, April 29, 2013 at Gaskins Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Gaskins was born May 9, 1942 in Charleston County, SC and was a daughter of the late John Abel Durr and Lottie Isadore Perkins Durr. She was a retired employee of Shoney’s in Charleston and will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and sister.

Surviving are: her children, Donald Steigler of Owego, NY, Perry Steigler of Ruffin, Tina Blair of Smoaks, and Warren Steigler of Smoaks; brother, Tommy Durr of Summerville; sisters, Linda Williams Chambers of Summerville and Lottle Aldridge of North Charleston; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
