Mr. Mood William Bazzle, 96, of Cottageville, entered into rest Friday, March 17, 2017 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Hazel Craven Bazzle.
Funeral services will be held 3 o’clock, Sunday afternoon, March 19, 2017 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Bedon Baptist Church Cemetery, 2410 Cottageville Highway, Walterboro.
Born October 14, 1920 in Cottageville, he was a son of the late Ervin William Bazzle and Bessie Jackson Bazzle. He was a retired civil service employee from the Charleston Naval Weapons Station. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. Mood was an avid outdoorsman, who loved farming and especially enjoyed hunting deer, fox and wild hogs. He also loved watching baseball. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who deeply loved his family and enjoyed doting on his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed baking cakes and sharing them with everyone he loved.
Surviving are: his children, Ervin Bazzle and his wife Caroline of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Burt Bazzle and his wife Lynn of Summerville, Deloris Vaughan and her husband Gregg of Summerville and Cindy Sarvis of Cottageville; grandchildren, Scott Vaughan (Laura), Stacy Vaughan, Jennifer S, Isgett (Chris), Bobby Sarvis (Devon), Abbie S. Tisdale (Wesley), Christopher Bazzle (Becca), Jordan Bazzle, Andrew Bazzle (Susan), Drake Bazzle (Kelly), and Grace Lynn Bazzle; great grandchildren, (Marie Berry (Tripp), Lewis Vaughan, Tyler Vaughan, Tate Vaughan, Alana Grace Tisdale, Olivia Tisdale, Ashlyn Hazel Sarvis, Garret Riley Sarvis, and Camden Brett Bazzle; sisters, Verna Hoover of Ridgeville and Ann Hawkins of Walterboro; brother-in-law, W.F. Bendt of Charleston; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brett Bazzle; brothers, Reverend Carl Bazzle and Edward Bazzle; and sisters, Myrtle Driggers and Dorothy Bendt.
The family would like to especially thank his caregivers, Bernice Perry, Connie Johnson, and Jackie Kinsey for the love and care they have given Mr. Mood.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice.
