Mr. George Montague “Monty” Wooten, 60, of Estill, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at his daughter’s residence in Summerville.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Nixville Church of God of Prophecy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 pm until the hour of service at the church.
Born August 6, 1956 in Metter, Georgia, he was a son of the late Henry Montague Wooten and Lemerle Sheppard Wooten. He was a retired truck driver and will always be remembered as a wonderful father and grandfather who dearly loved his family.
Surviving are: his children, Troy Montague Wooten of Fort Knox, Kentucky, Regina Annette Scott of Estill, and Bridget Ann Moseley of Summerville; grandchildren, Bryan Paul Wooten, Rheagan Jackson, Troy Wooten, Jr., Clareese Stenzel, Christian Wooten, Sean Moseley, Karaline Stenzel, Gabriel Scott, Ava Wooten, Alexander Wooten, and Maximus Wooten; great granddaughter, Izabelle Wooten; brother, Randy Wooten of Grays; and sisters, Sally Jo Moore of Hampton and Jackie McBride of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
