Monroe Brunson

Mr. Cannady Monroe Brunson, 89, of the Parkers Ferry Community of Adams Run, entered into rest Friday afternoon, October 25, 2024, at his residence.

Born March 2, 1935, in Jamestown, South Carolina, he was a son of the late William J. Brunson and the late Viola Bunch Brunson.  He served our country faithfully in the United States Air Force as well as the United States Coast Guard and was retired truck driver.  He was a faithful member of Hopewell Baptist Church, where he was a longtime member and chairman of the cemetery committee.

Surviving are: his wife, Jean F. Brunson; a son, Perry Brunson; and a granddaughter, Brittany.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed in his memory to: Hopewell Baptist Church, 6869 Parkers Ferry Road, Adams Run, South Carolina 29426.

A private family graveside service will be held in Hopewell Baptist Churchyard.
