Mr. Monell Lemacks, 67, of Charleston died Tuesday morning, November 2, 2010. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Carolyn Bazzle Lemacks.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Friday afternoon, November 5, 2010, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Jefferies Blvd, Walterboro.
Mr. Lemacks was born September 15, 1943, in Walterboro and was a son of the late Louis Lemacks and the late Vera Padgett Tanner. He was a retired grounds keeper from the City of Charleston and will be remembered for vacationing every year with this family at Lake Jocassee, where he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Surviving are: a son, Luke Lemacks and his wife Sherry of Goose Creek; a daughter, Angie Sawyer and her husband Frank of Tampa, Florida; three brothers, Richard Magwood of Charleston, L.J. Lemacks (Margie) of Walterboro, and Melvin Lemacks (Sherry) of Smoaks; and three sisters, Rachel Lemacks and Joy Huntington both of James Island and Lille Mae Vaughn (Rev. ONeal) of Walterboro; and six grandchildren, Luke Lemacks, Jr., Chris Lemacks, David Lemacks, Kimberly Lemacks, Crystal Sawyer, and Taylor Sawyer. There are four sisters-in-law, Linda Flora, Margaret Patrick, Catherine Stanfield, and Ellen Ackerman (Wesley) as well as several other surviving nieces, nephews, and family members.
