Biography

Mrs. Miriam Black Stone, 72, of Smoaks, entered into rest Wednesday morning, June 25, 2014, at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia. She was the widow of Mr. Eugene Stone.

Private family funeral services will be conducted Friday morning, June 27, 2014, in the Black Family Cemetery on Augusta Highway in Smoaks.

Born January 7, 1942, a native of Charleston, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Randall Black and the late Annie Lee Wilson Black.

Surviving are: a brother, James R. Black of Smoaks; two sisters, Juanita Ruth Miller of Birmingham, Alabama and Cheryl Deanne Black of Columbia, Missouri; two nephews, James Anthony Black of Smoaks and Ben Black of Mount Pleasant; and a niece, Anita Joyce Hanz of Pennsylvania.
