Minnie Hiott

Mrs. Minnie Victoria Fletcher Hiott, 78, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Monday, March 2, 2026, at HCA Healthcare-Colleton, surrounded by her children. She was the wife of the late Roy Roger Hiott.

Born February 23, 1948, in Walterboro, she was the daughter of the late Joe Francis Fletcher and Clara Mae Bunton Fletcher. She worked for many years at SkyCity in Walterboro and retired from the Colleton County School District where she worked in the lunchroom at Walterboro High School for over 30 years. Minnie was a faithful member of the Walterboro Church of God and enjoyed attending her beloved church. She loved the Lord and always had a smile on her face. Most of all, she was a loving and passionate mother and grandmother who dearly loved her family.

Surviving are: her children, John Roger Hiott and his wife Donna of Walterboro, Timmy William Hiott and his wife Sharee of Islandton, and Sherri Lynn Hiott Jones and her husband Clint of Round O; grandchildren, Heather Nicole Hiott, Aaron Cole Hiott, Kirsten Miranda Hiott, Emily Lynn Hiott, Timmy Chandler Hiott, Hayden William Hiott, Ashlyn Brooke McAlhaney, and Roy Ethan McMillan; 8 great grandchildren, including a very special great grandson, Kane Liam McAlhaney; brother, Marion Fletcher of Walterboro; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Lonnie Fletcher and Frankie Fletcher; and a sister, Myra Bryan.

A graveside service will be held 3 o’clock, Thursday afternoon, March 5, 2026, at Live Oak Cemetery, Jefferies Boulevard, Walterboro.
