MOLE, Mildred
Mrs. Mildred Drawdy Mole, 95, of Charleston Highway, Hampton, entered into her eternal rest Thursday morning, June 14, 2012, at the John Edward Harter Nursing Center in Fairfax. She was the wife of sixty-eight years to the late Mr. Oddie Wyman Mole.
Funeral services will be conducted four o'clock Saturday afternoon, June 16, 2012, from the Sandy Run Baptist Church, 2100 Sandy Run Road, Hampton, with The Reverend Ronnie Avant, The Reverend Paul W. Reid, and The Reverend Dr. Thomas Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in Sandy Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Mole was born July 10, 1916, a native of Varnville, she was a daughter of the late Harvey Drawdy and the late Ollie Jones Drawdy. She was a member of Sandy Run Baptist Church where she was active in many aspects of the church's work. She centered her life around her church, having been a former Sunday School teacher, active in the Women's Missionary Union, and served as secretary of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class until she was ninety-two. Everyone affectionately knew her as "Little Gramps", who loved her flowers, gardening, and beautiful southern pecan trees. She will always be recalled in the memory of those who knew her as a Wonderful loving Christian mother, who through her love of mission giving always cared for others sending her bowls of love to those in need.
Surviving are: a son, Don Mole and his wife Sara of Orangeburg; two daughters, Shirley M. Altman and her husband Don of Hampton and Sylvia M. Freeman and her husband Wade of Hampton; and a daughter-in-law, Athalene B. Mole of Hampton. There are nine grandchildren, Marsha Sober and Doug, Craig Mole and Lois, Maria Smith and Doug, Mark Altman and Michelle, Keith Altman and Gina, Byron Altman and Christian, Kaye F. Eubanks, Chad Mole and Miranda, and Matthew Mole and Jennifer as well as thirteen great grandchildren who also survive. She was preceded in death by a son, Roland Mole; a grandson, Scott Freeman; and four sisters, Debbie Harrison, Sadie Altman, Mary Sharpe, and Louise Simmons.
Flowers will be accepted, or for those that so desire, requests have been made that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to the Missions at Sandy Run Baptist Church, 2100 Sandy Run Road, Hampton, South Carolina 29924.
