Mike Cribb

Mr. Don Michael Cribb, 73, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Friday evening, December 2, 2022, at the Summerville Community Hospice House.

Born March 16, 1949 in Walterboro, he was a son of the late Reverend Luther Gerald Cribb, Sr. and Jessie Saunders Cribb.  Mike was a graduate of Clemson University and served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a traffic engineer for the City of Columbia and retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation.

Mike was a dedicated member of Pine Grove Baptist Church No.1 in Walterboro.  He held multiple positions of leadership including Trustee, Deacon, Ministry Assistant for over 20 years, and was a member of the choir.  He loved music and enjoyed playing many instruments but especially the piano and the psaltery.  He loved wood working and sewing and always enjoyed making gifts for his family such as ornaments, blankets, quilts and pillowcases.  Mike also enjoyed working in his yard, mowing the grass and keeping Stokes Road beautiful.  He was an avid Clemson Tiger fan.  He dearly loved his grandchildren and spending any time he could with them.  Most of all, Mike loved his Lord and Savior, his wife Ann, his family, and his church.

Surviving are:  his wife Ann Ketchin Cribb of Walterboro; sons Matthew and his wife Melissa of Anderson, and Will of Columbia; grandchildren Emma, Dylan, Aaron, and Sarah; brother Leslie Jerome Cribb and his wife Jan of South Carolina; sisters-in-law Vickie Cribb of Georgia and Mary Sue Cribb of Virginia; and brother-in-law Steward Kirby of North Carolina.  He was preceded in death by his first wife Edith Frick Cribb; siblings Luther Gerald Cribb, Jr., William Larry Cribb, and Sylvia Cribb Pittman Kirby.

Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Wednesday morning, December 7, 2022, at Pine Grove Baptist Church No. 1, 99 Pine Grove Church Walterboro.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 am in the church sanctuary.
