Michelle Whittington

Ms. Michelle Colleen Whittington, 39, of Bluffton, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Hilton Head Hospital.

Born September 12, 1980, she was a daughter of the late Michael Whittington and Kim Bardenhagen Whittington.  She grew up and lived most of her life in Varnville and graduated from Wade Hampton High School.  Michelle was outgoing and friendly, never meeting a stranger and could talk to anyone.  She loved her family and truly cared about people.

Surviving are: her children, Olivia Brooke Jarrell of Valdosta, Georgia and Micah Whittington of New Jersey; grandfather, Harry Whittington of Winterhaven, Florida; uncle, Guy Whittington of Winterhaven, Florida; aunt, Vicki DeLoach and her husband Wayne of Estill; and cousins, Caitlin Whittington, Whitt Burn, Stacey DeLoach, Clint DeLoach and his wife Melinda, Holli DeLoach Williams and her husband Chuck, Shawn DeLoach, Jordan Avant, and Abby Bowers and her husband Corrin Fitts.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Victor and Vi Bardenhagen; paternal grandmother, JoAnn Whittington; uncles, Greg Bardenhagen and Gary Whittington; and aunt, Ellen Whittington Burn.

In consideration of the extraordinary circumstances associated with the Coronavirus, the funeral service for Michelle will be held privately at Hampton Cemetery, 11 o’clock, Saturday morning, May 30, 2020. The funeral service will be live streamed from The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapels and Crematory Facebook page and website.

In compliance with CDC recommendations and social distancing guidelines, extended public visitation hours are being offered Friday, May 29, 2020 from 3 pm until 8 pm at THE BRICE W.
