Mr. Robert Michael Wilson, Sr., age 64, of Walterboro, entered into rest Saturday morning, May 7, 2016, at the Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.
The family will receive friends during a time of remembrance from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock Tuesday evening, May 10, 2016, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory, Walterboro Chapel.
Born November 10, 1951, in Fairfax, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Laurie Johnson Wilson and the late Violet Lee Smith Koger. He was a computer operator with Coastal Food Service in Walterboro. Michael will always be remembered for his fondness of the outdoors as well as the passion he had for fishing and camping. He was known to have a green thumb and always took great pride in his garden and dearly loved his dogs.
Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Cheryl Wells Wilson; a son, Mike Wilson, Jr. and his wife Natalie of Walterboro; two step-daughters, Terri Hiers of Walterboro and Cindy Carpenter of Walterboro; his step-father, Mr. A.C. Koger of Walterboro; and a brother, Jerome Wilson of Grays. There are four grandchildren, Luke and Remme Driggers and Colyn and Kaeleigh Wilson; as well as five step-grandchildren, Kristina, Michelle, Jessica, Ashley, and R.J.
