Michael Edward Wilson

Mike Wilson, 61, of Walterboro, South Carolina passed away peacefully Friday evening, July 14, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Born July 22, 1961  in Georgetown, South Carolina. He graduated from Fort Johnson High School and went on to work several jobs including a decade at Lockheed Martin enjoying the open road as a truck driver. His favorite past times were fishing with his family or hunting a good bargain.  He was a beloved father and grandfather who always made time for his family.

Surviving are: his wife, Susan; children, Jennifer (Karl), Dustin and Steven (Bre); grandchildren, Trey (17), Emily (12), Sophia (10), Kelly (16), Kathryn (10), Dianna (5) and Malakai (1); brothers, Chris Loope, Randa Mellon (Rob),  Tim Skipper (Nikki) and Tony Skipper (Kelle); cousin, Robert Sims, who was like a brother to him; as well as many beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Willie “Bubba” Wilson and nephew Josh Bedingfield.

A celebration of life will be held on his birthday, Saturday, July 22, 2023, at his home in lieu of a funeral.

The family will receive friends during a time of remembrance and celebration from 1 o'clock until 4 o'clock.
