Michael Tripp, Sr

Mr. Michael Dink Tripp, Sr., 48, of Varnville, died Saturday morning, May 30, 2009, at the Hampton Regional Medical Center in Varnville.



Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Thursday afternoon, June 4, 2009, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.



Mr. Tripp was born January 25, 1961, in Colleton County and was a son of Mr. Dink J. Tripp and Mrs. Marian Smoak Tripp. He was a mechanic by trade and will be remembered for his love of hunting and fishing.



Surviving in addition to his parents of Ruffin are: a son, Michael D. Tripp, Jr. of Madisonville, Texas; a daughter, Amanda Michelle Tripp of Ruffin; and siblings, Tami T. Linder of Smoaks, John A. Tripp of Ruffin, and Tracy T. Kinard of Islandton. There are three grandchildren, Shelby Leigh Tripp, Christina Blair Tripp, and Joshua Eugene Padgett.



In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorials be sent in his memory to: Post Office Drawer 50, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
