Michael Newcomb

Mr. Michael Conrad Newcomb, 46, of Walterboro, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018.

Graveside services will be held at 3 o’clock, Sunday afternoon, June 10, 2018 at Woodland Cemetery, Canadys.  The family will receive friends from 2 pm until the hour of service at Canaan Baptist Church, Canadys.

Born June 4, 1972 in Charleston County, he was a son of Shirley Ricketson Newcomb and the late Wesley D. Newcomb, Jr.  Michael was a family man who loved his family dearly.  He was easy going, giving, and enjoyed doing things for others.  He was a craftsman who loved to work outside, especially working in the garden.

Surviving are: his mother, Shirley Newcomb of Walterboro; sons, Dustin Newcomb of Charleston and Jacob Newcomb of Charlotte, North Carolina; brothers, Wesley D. Newcomb, III and his wife Ingrid of Summerville and Timothy Allen Newcomb of Granite Falls, North Carolina; aunts, Carolyn Marchant of Walterboro, Benny Ruth Tapley and her husband James of Walterboro, and Rose Soderlund of Goose Creek; and uncles, Joe Marchant of Walterboro and Charles Ricketson of Hanahan.
