Mr. Michael Lee Herndon, 65, of Quail Drive, Walterboro, entered into his eternal rest Thursday morning, May 17, 2012, at Hospice of Charleston in Mount Pleasant.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o'clock Saturday morning, May 19, 2012, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro with The Reverend Michael Polk officiating. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
Mr. Herndon was born December 12, 1946 in Colleton County and was a son of the late Holland and Pearl Carskadon Herndon. He was a former employee of Lucas Electric in Walterboro and was a member of Moselle Church of God of Prophecy where he served as a church deacon. He will always be remembered for the love he had for his family.
Surviving are: his wife of forty-one years, Mrs. Deborah Crosby Herndon; three sons, Michael Lee Herndon, Jr. of Walterboro, Joshua William Herndon and his wife Brooke of Walterboro, and Phillip Andrew Herndon of Walterboro; two daughters, Charlene Herndon Nelson and her husband Rick of Walterboro and Tammy Bledsoe and her husband Chris of Summerville; two brothers, Paul Herndon and Pete Herndon of Walterboro; and four sisters, Karolyn H. Benton of Cottageville, Mary H. Stanfield of Walterboro, Suzanne H. Fitzgerald of Walterboro, and Judy DeWitt of North Carolina. There are nine grandchildren that also survive.
