Michael Alan Clifton

Mr. Michael Alan Clifton, 56, of Hampton, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at his residence.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Rhoden Clifton.

Born July 12, 1963 in Hampton, he was a son of Robert Francis Clifton, Jr. and the late Sara Elizabeth O'Quinn Clifton.  He loved fishing, riding his golf cart and NASCAR racing.

Surviving are:  his girlfriend, Vickie Brown of Hampton; one that he loved as a granddaughter, Adelyn Avery Sutton; siblings, Kim Moody and her husband Mike of Nebo, North Carolina, Kelly Rhoden and her husband Gregg of Varnville, Mark Clifton and his wife Paula of Nixville, Julie Long and her husband Mel of Hampton, Wendy Kinard and her husband Stephen of Sycamore, and Wally Clifton and his wife Tara of Hampton; many nieces and nephews; and a host of good friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon, September 28, 2019, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Varnville.  Interment will follow in Sandy Run Cemetery, Sandy Run Road, Hampton.
