Mavis Roberts

Mrs. Mavis Zahler Roberts, 82, of Sniders, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Pruitt Health Care in Walterboro.  She was the wife of the late Richard Nathan Roberts.

Born June 17, 1937 in Hampton County and raised in Early Branch, she was a daughter of the late George Zahler and Ada Youmans Zahler.  She was a member of both Marion Baptist Church and Shiloh Baptist Church.  She loved baking, working with her flowers, and enjoyed doing crafts.  She loved attending meeting and gathering at the church and fellowshipping with others.

Surviving are: her children, Ricky Roberts and his wife Elizabeth of Sniders and Janette Roberts Sturkey and her husband Wyman of Lexington; sisters, Louise Nichols and her husband Kenny of Early Branch and Christine McAlhaney of Early Branch; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Zahler of Goose Creek; grandchildren, Shane Roberts, Bridgett Carson, Jennifer Sturkey, Renee Williams, and Wyman Sturkey; and 4 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Rose Roberts; a brother, Marvin Zahler.

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Shiloh Baptist Church, Lowcountry Highway, Ruffin.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
