Matthew A. Postell

Matthew Alan Postell, of Cottageville, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday evening, March 25, 2022.

Born December 13, 1990, in Charleston, South Carolina, he was the son of Mr. George Alan Postell and Angela Dawn Jones Mayfield.

Matthew is survived by his father and step-mother, George and Suzy Postell; mother and step-father, Angela and Robert Mayfield; sisters, Rachel Postell, Caitlin Puglia and her husband Chris, and Georgia Postell; his paternal grandfather, Alvin  Postell; and maternal grandparents, Gene and Peggy Jones.  He is also survived by his uncles, William Jones, Michael Jones and Kevin Postell; aunts, Laura Jones, Monica Jones, Amy Postell and Melissa Postell; and cousins, Christopher Jones, Madison Jones, Ethan Postell, Emma Postell, Mason Jones and Molly Jones and a niece, Sienna Puglia.  He was preceded in death by a cousin, Ashley Jones.

A memorial service will be held 3 o’clock, Wednesday afternoon, March 30, 2022, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  The family will receive friends for a time of visitation prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock.
