Mrs. Mary Ann Woods, 76, of Jacksonboro, entered into eternal rest Monday, June 16, 2014 at the Hospice Center of Charleston.

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Jacksonboro Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Born August 1, 1937 in Jasper County, she was a daughter of the late Reverend Herman and Carrie Shipes Anderson. She was a licensed cosmetologist and was a member of Jacksonboro Baptist Church. She loved working in her yard and loved to dance, but most of all she dearly loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are: her husband of 60 years, Freddie Lamar Woods, Sr. of Jacksonboro; children, Janet Woods Waters and her husband Ricky of Augusta, Georgia, Deborah W. Woods and her husband Joe of Charleston, and Freddie Lamar Woods, Jr. and his wife Teri of Ridgeland; sisters, Barbara Fairweather of Brookhaven, Mississippi and Vernelle Sinclair of Varnville; grandchildren, Brien Word (Lauren), Jeremy Goette (Gina), William Word (Laura), and Aaron Thompson (Anna); and great grandchildren, Lauren Goette, Adashia Taylor, Ashley Goette, Marissa Goette, Liam Word, Caedmon Word, Callum Word, and Sera Morris. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Griffin Walsh, Jr., Herbert Walsh, and Carl Walsh.
