Mary Shill

Mrs. Mary Ellen Walling Shill, 77, of Walterboro, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 at her residence.  She was the widow of the late John Shill.

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Peniel Baptist Church.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Born October 28, 1940 in Ruffin, she was a daughter of the late Laurie and Leila Walling.  Ellen was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant of 26 years.  She enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was a lifelong member of Peniel Baptist Church.

Surviving are: her children, Ronald Johnson (Noriko) of Givhans, David Johnson of Texas, Robert Johnson (Sherry) of Nashville, Tennessee, Peggy Harris (Larry) of Dunkirk, New York, and Matthew Johnson (Sandy) of Walterboro; grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson, Meredith Johnson, Ashley Andrews, Halley Harris, Heather Harris, Cassandra Pachol, Chassity Johnson, Maranda Johnson, D’aysia Branch, and Xavier Johnson; and a brother, Charles Walling of Sumter, and her sister, Jane Edwards of Charleston.
