Mary Louise Mcdaniel

Ms. Mary Louise McDaniel, 71, entered into eternal rest Tuesday morning, September 20, 2022, at her residence.

She was born August 3, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Harland Andrew Pontious and the late Betty Ann Loncar Pontious. She was raised by her “Mama Mac”.  Mary Louise was known by many to be a loving and very outgoing person with a lot of personality.  She was mostly generous to everyone she came across and had an energetic sense of doing things.  She was a great hostess when bartending during her time at the Dogwood Hills Country Club and worked several jobs over many years; even owning her own thrift store in town.  Mary often loved spending time boating the Edisto River and enjoying the Edisto Beach as a favorite pass time.

Mary is survived by: her sister, Paula Holland; and brothers, James P. Pontious and Billy Fox Pontious. She is also survived by her loving K-9 companion, who was always by her side, Charlie.
