Mary Elizabeth Jones

Mary Elizabeth Jones, 86, of Walterboro, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at the Veterans Victory House.

Born in Bradley, Florida, she was a daughter to the late George Franklin Caruthers and the late Mary Ellen Lyons Caruthers. She was the widow of the late Lloyd Ashton Jones, Jr. Mary was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps where she faithfully served her country.

She is survived by sons: Jeffrey F. Jones (Nancy), David M. Jones (Terri), and Lloyd A. Jones, III (Jeanne).  Six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and a sister, Barbara “Penny” S. Shaddix.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her sister, Ellen K. Davies.

Graveside funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Friday afternoon, January 7, 2022 at Sandy Dam United Methodist Church Cemetery, Charleston Highway, Walterboro.
