Mary Roberts Johnson

Mrs. Mary Roberts Johnson, 83, of Seabrook, formerly of Varnville, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Mr. Leonard Sherrill Johnson, Sr.



Funeral services will be held 11 am, Friday, November 5, 2010 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Varnville. Interment will follow in Varnville Cemetery.



Mrs. Johnson was born February 27, 1927 in Beaufort and was a daughter of the late Carroll Roberts and Daisy Smith Roberts. She was a member of Varnville Baptist Church and Community Bible Church, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Mary was a true servant of God and prayer warrior, who centered her life around God and made it her mission in life to witness to anyone she could.



Surviving are: her son, Leonard Sherrill Len Johnson, Jr. and his wife Karen of Seabrook; special friends, Gerald and Ann Anderson of Early Branch; grandchildren, Krista Darkcloud, Eric Johnson, Erin Johnson and Joseph Johnson; great grandchildren, Adrianna Darkcloud, Jordan Lane Byers and Eli Johnson. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Johnson.



The family would like to thank the staff of Sanctuary Hospice for the wonderful care they have given to Mrs. Mary over the past three years.
