Mrs. Mary Perkins Hill, 88, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Colleton Medical Center. She was the widow of Ruben Dearl Hill, Sr.
Funeral services will be held 11 am, Saturday, September 14, 2013 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will be held privately.
Mrs. Hill was born July 5, 1925 in Kennedy, Alabama and was a daughter of George Washington Perkins and Evie Lee Bradford Perkins. She was a faithful Christian woman and was a devoted mother and grandmother who centered her life around her family.
Surviving are: her children, Ruben Dearl Wayne Hill, Jr. (Deborah) of St. George, George Dennis Hill (Linda) of Walterboro, Jane Crutchfield (Billy), Larry Edward Hill (Debbie) of Walterboro, Billy Joe Hill (Phyllis) of Walterboro, and Robert Lee Bob Hill (Dena) of Cottageville; daughter-in-law, Vicky Hill of Walterboro; sister, Ann Welch of Alabama; special friend, Barbara Catterton of Walterboro; 24 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Mack Hill, Sr.; 2 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.
