Mary Cleland Davidson

Mary Caroline Cleland Davidson, age 81, of Point South, wife of Willie “Billy” Davidson, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at the Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Mary was born on February 11, 1933 to the late Wilbur and Edna Cleland and was the devoted big sister to the late Rufus Cleland. She is survived by her three children: Willie “Del” (June) Davidson, Jr. , Donna Davidson (Dennis) Williams, and Tina Davidson (Clyde) Smith; seven grandchildren: Willie “Will” Davidson, III, Latesha Caroline Smith (Rob) McComas, Benjamin C. (Katrina) Stanley, Jr., Darlene Smith (TJ) Perkins, Hance D. (Ginny) Stanley, April O. Williams, Harley D. Williams; and two great grandchildren: Kadence Stanley and Marshall Perkins.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Monday morning, September 22, 2014, from the graveside in GIllisonville Baptist Churchyard, 10158 Grays Highway, Ridgeland.
The family will receive friends following the committal ceremony in the church social hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mary Cleland Davidson to one of the following: Gillisonville Baptist Church, Coosawhatchie Baptist Church, or any local historical society.
