Mary Cadden

Mrs. Mary Creola Cadden, 74, of Parkers Ferry Road, Adams Run, entered into rest Thursday morning, January 17, 2013, at her residence.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon, January 19, 2013, from Hopewell Baptist Church, 6869 Parkers Ferry Road, Adams Run. The Reverend Naveen Balakrishnan officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard.
Family and friends are invited to call from 6 o'clock until 8 o'clock this Friday evening at Hopewell Baptist Church.
Born January 18, 1938 she was a native of Williamsburg County, South Carolina having made Adams Run her home since 1956. She was a daughter of the late Elvert Young Cales and the late Maggie Moore Cales. She retired after almost thirty-six years of service to the Charleston Naval Shipyard and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She will be fondly remembered as a hard worker individual who possessed an amazing talent at quilting, knitting, and crocheting as well as her love for baking.
Surviving are: a son, Benjamin Allen Cadden of Adams Run; a brother, E.C. Cales of Goose Creek; and three sisters, Ninky Tisdale of Kingstree, Shirley Hartley of James Island, and Joyce Cales of Kingstree. There are two grandchildren, Benjamin Waring Cadden and Louis Cadden that also survive.
