Mrs. Mary Lou Breland, 83, of Field Creek Road, Ruffin, entered into rest Saturday afternoon, December 21, 2013, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro. She was the loving wife of the late Mr. William Dan Junior Breland, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Monday afternoon, December 23, 2013, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Breland Cemetery, Lowcountry Highway, Ruffin.
Born June 30, 1930, a native of Lodge, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Adam Brantley Fisk and the late Viola McMillian Fisk Caldwell. She was a faithful member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Ruffin Charge. She will be fondly remembered as a loving mother and devoted housewife. She worked in her beloved yards diligently to always keep them magnificent and well maintained.
Surviving are: three daughters, Mary Alice Breland Sherry and her husband Jim of Ruffin, Judy Breland Page and her husband Terry of Simpsonville, and Bonnie Breland Rizer Miller and her husband David of Ruffin; two brothers, Derrell Fisk of Lodge and Gordon Fisk of Florence; and a sister, Beverly Sterner of Columbia. There are five grandchildren, Patricia Halloran and her husband Chip, Robby Sherry and his wife Virginia, Scott Rizer and his wife Scarlett, Kelly Page, and Amanda Rizer Lyons and her husband Marion; as well as ten great grandchildren.
