Marvin Bennett

Mr. Marvin Terrell Bennett, 71, of Varnville, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Trident Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock, Friday afternoon, April 20, 2018 at Spirit of Life Ministries in Varnville.  Interment will follow in Varnville Cemetery.

Born July 29, 1946 in Varnville, he was the son of the late Cecil Marlow Bennett and Theda Cook Bennett.  He was a loving and devoted husband to “his girl”, Grace; and was a loving father and grandfather.  He enjoyed helping his son, Terrell, in his business; enjoyed working on older cars, watching tv.  He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed looking at the stars with his granddaughter, Alex.

Surviving are: his wife of 52 years, Grace Bennett Bennett of Varnville; children, Lisa B. Latham and her husband Dewayne of Hampton, Tabitha B. Mole and her husband Ronald of Early Branch, and Marvin Terrell Bennett, Jr. and his wife Julie of Hampton; one that he loved as a son, Randy Sauls and his wife Debra of Varnville; sisters, Geraldine White of Varnville and Juanita Polk of Frog Hollow; sister-in-law, Joyce Bennett of Ehrhardt; grandchildren, Jason Latham and his wife Mary Beth, Kayla Latham (Matt Long), Allen Mole and his wife Tabitha, Stephanie Hawks and her husband Nathan, Terrell Bennett, Alex Bennett, Ashley Heather Bennett, and Hunter Bennett; great grandchildren, Brooke Latham, Jordyn Latham, Kallie Latham, Bindi Long, Levi Long, Avery “Gracie” Hawks, and Brody Mole; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Latham; and a brother, Cecil Bennett.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Spirit of Life Ministries.
