Marty Hiers

James Martin Hiers, affectionately known to everyone as “Marty”, 64, of Ehrhardt, entered into eternal rest Friday afternoon, May 22, 2026, at his residence.

Born September 4, 1961, in Bamberg, he was a son of the late Alyea Hiers and Barbara McKenzie Hiers. Marty enjoyed hunting and especially loved his dog, LaLa.

Surviving are: his daughters, Crystal Hiers Ackerman and Tiffany Elaine Hiers, both of Ehrhardt; grandchildren, Riley Ackerman and Bailey Ackerman (Turner); brother, John Alyea Hiers of Pineville; sisters, Aubrey Hiers Rosier (Kenneth) of Barnwell and Yvonne Hiers Williams of Ehrhardt; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11 o’clock, Saturday morning, June 6, 2026, at St. Johns Baptist Church, 2468 St. Johns Church Road, Ehrhardt.
