Ms. Martha Crosby Mitchum, 70, a homemaker of Walterboro, passed away Sunday afternoon, January 10, 2016, at the Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon, January 14, 2016, at 11 o’clock from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow at Bedon Baptist Church Cemetery, 2410 Cottageville Highway, Walterboro.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 13, 2016, from 6 until 8 pm, at the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Walterboro Chapel.
Born on November 26, 1945 in Colleton County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Julian Crosby and Mildred Mixson Crosby. Ms. Mitchum was best known for the love she possessed for her family.
Surviving are: five children, Steve Mitchum (Teresa) of Ravenel, Charles Mitchum (Dee) of Ravenel, Wade Mitchum (Debbie) of Walterboro, Annette Alexander (Ralph) of Cottageville, and Duke Mitchum (Cherron) of Summerville; and twelve grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters, Alberta Mitchum and Teresa Mitchum, and one grandson, Billy Mitchum.
