Marlene Craven

It is with great sadness that the family of Cynthia Marlene Craven “Marlene” announce her entrance into eternal rest on Thursday September 13, 2018.

Marlene was born March 27, 1957 in Walterboro, South Carolina, daughter of Mildred Marie Craven.

She is lovingly remembered by her life partner James Michael Karpinen, daughter Amanda Louise McAleer, son-in-law John Paul McAleer IV, grandson Charles Colton McAleer and granddaughter on the way.  Marlene will also be remembered by her sister Mildred Charlene Martin, brothers Gerald Sheldon Craven and Micah Randolf Craven, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.She is predeceased by her father Gerald Randolf Craven.

Marlene grew up in Charleston, SC and attended St. Andrews High School.  She enjoyed tending to her gardens, listening to music, children and animals of all kinds.

A small, private Celebration of Life Memorial will be held Sunday September 23, 2018 in Walterboro.
