Mark Ruppe

Mr. Mark Eric Ruppe, 59, of Bamberg, entered into eternal rest Friday morning, December 29, 2023, at Colleton Medical Center.

Born March 2, 1964, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Johnny Thomas Ruppe, Sr. and Nancy Anders Ruppe.  He served his country in the United States Navy.  He enjoyed fishing and retired from commercial construction.

Surviving are: his companion of 10 years, Sandra Hutto of Bamberg; Sandra’s children and grandchildren that he loved as his own, Heather Louise Hutto (Tripp) of Bamberg and their children, Grayson Wayne Murdaugh and Madison Lynn Murdaugh, Derek Wayne Hutto (Ashley) of Bamberg and his children, Easton Allman Greer and Lachlan Cambridge Hutto, and Kayce Hutto Terry (Brandon) of Nixville and their children, Thomas Daniel Terry, Taylor Michelle Terry, Ethan Wyatt Terry, and Marybrae Elizabeth Terry; and his brothers, Tony Ruppe and his wife Deborah of Bethune, Johnny Ruppe and his wife Stacie, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and Chris Ruppe, of Asheville, North Carolina; and a son, Philip Eastman of Cross.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and Sandra’s mother who he dearly loved and helped take care of, Vivian Frye.

A Celebration of Life in Mark’s name will be held 1 o’clock, Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Sandra’s residence.

In honor of his birthday, a memorial service will be held 2 o’clock, March 2, 2024, in Tanner’s Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, 151 Tanner’s Grove Road, Forest City, North Carolina, 28043.
