Mark Green

Mr. Mark Earnest Green, affectionately known to his family and friends as “IMP”, 48, of Summerville, entered into eternal rest Tuesday morning, December 10, 2024, at his residence.

Born March 3, 1976, in Walterboro, he was a son of Ernie Green and the late Maryll Norris Green.  He always took pride in his work, having started his career at Huddle House in Walterboro and worked his way up to manager of the James Island location.  He was an avid sports fan who loved basketball, football and baseball, and especially loved playing cards with his friends.  He was an excellent cook and loved eating great food.  Most of all, Mark loved his family, always supporting his nieces and nephews by attending their sporting or school activities.

Surviving are: his father, Ernie Green and his wife Susan Anderson of Sikeston, Missouri; his siblings, Joseph “Joey” Green of Evans, Georgia, Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Dexheimer of Columbia, and Timothy “Tim” Green and his wife Kelly of Summerville; close friends, David Lee, Greg Alexander, and Frankie Mador and his wife Stephanie; aunts, Kathy Cravens and her husband Ricky of New Madrid, Missouri, Linda Tollison of New Madrid, Missouri, and Meg Economy and her husband Dean of Medford, Oregon; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 12:30, Saturday afternoon, December 14, 2024, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel.  Interment will follow in Fennell Family Cemetery, Brunson.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 am until the hour of service.
