Mr. Mark Cletus Gordon, Jr., 69, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Colleton Medical Center.
Born May 20, 1955, in Alexandria, Virginia, he was the son of the late Mark Cletus Gordon, Sr. and Laura Keller Gordon. He was a retired pipefitter from Charleston Naval Shipyard, where he was known as “Flash” Gordon”. He lived his younger years in Virginia and Maryland before his family moved to Isle of Palms in 1971. He spent most of his life on the Isle of Palms until moving to Walterboro in 2004. He was a loving and dedicated son who cared for both of his parents until their passing. He was also a devoted father to his only daughter, Natalie.
Surviving are: his daughter, Natalie Gordon Ayer and her husband Brandon of Bamberg, and their children; as well as a nephew, Sean Barnes. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Ann Gordon Barnes.
Graveside funeral services will be held 4 o’clock, Friday afternoon, February 7, 2025, in Denmark Cemetery.
