Marion Easterlin Hardy

August 25, 1938 — May 20, 2015

Mrs. Marion Easterlin Hardy, affectionately known as “Bootie”, age 76, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at her home in West Columbia.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 o’clock Friday afternoon, May 22, 2015, from the graveside at Live Oak Cemetery, South Jefferies Boulevard, Walterboro.  The Reverend Vernon Pritchard officiating.  The family will receive friends following the committal ceremony at the cemetery.

Born August 25, 1938 in Walterboro, she was a daughter of the late W. B. Easterlin and the late Eunice Sauls Easterlin.  She was retired from the Department of Social Services and was a volunteer at the Lexington Medical Center.  She will be fondly remembered for her love of knitting and crocheting.  She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are: four children, Daniel Spencer Hardy, Jr. (Diane) of West Columbia, James William Hardy of Flat Rock, North Carolina, Kate Ballenger (Terry) of Irmo, and Michael Hardy (Kristie) of Lexington; a sister, Dolly Dukes of St. George; seven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Easterlin.
