Marion Lee Griner

Mr. Marion Lee Griner, 87, of Brunson, entered into rest Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at his daughter’s home in Hampton.  He was the husband of the late Frances Donehue Griner.

Born July 16, 1932 in Hampton County, he was a son of the late Luda Cleveland Griner and Bertha Pope Griner.  He served his country in the United States Army and was a retired life insurance agent for Life of Georgia.   He was a member of Nixville Baptist Church.  He loved playing golf, hunting and fishing.

Surviving are : his daughter, Kathy Griner Jarrell and her husband Steve of Hampton; his faithful and loving companion, Laverne Fennell of Brunson; grandchildren, Joshua Varnell and his wife Hayley, Emily Jarrell, Caleb Jarrell, Ashlyn Jarrell Bazemore and her husband Zach, and Morgan Jarrell; and a great granddaughter, Adalyn Bazemore.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, L C Griner and Bill Griner.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Saturday morning, November 2, 2019 at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, Highway 3, Nixville.
