SMOAKS" Mrs. Marian L. Linder, 79, affectionately known to all as Tiny, died Thursday, November 5, 2009, at his residence in Ehrhardt. She was the widow of the late W.F. Linder.



Funeral services will be held 2 oclock Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Berea Advent Christian Church. Interment will follow in Hagan Cemetery.



Mrs. Linder was born June 30, 1930 and was a daughter of the late Eunice Kinsey Linder and the late Bill Linder. A life-long resident of the Berea section of Smoaks, SC, she was retired from Smoaks Manufacturing and Pacific Home Fashions. She was a faithful member of Berea Advent Christian Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher; treasurer of the Womens Home and Foreign Mission Society; and also served on the church board. She was the Berea Community correspondent for the Press and Standard for many years. She will be most remembered as a great southern cook and being well known for her recipes.



Surviving are: God-daughter, Teresa (Micheal) Fender of Lodge; God-son, Wesley (Theresa) Linder of Smoaks; God-grandsons, Casey (Alisha) Fender of Smoaks and Dylan Linder of Smoaks; God-great grandchildren, Skyler and Daniel Fender of Smoaks; three brothers, Franklin (Linda) Linder of Smoaks, Arnold (Candace) Linder of Smoaks and Harris Linder of Conway; one sister, Eleanor De Fore of Kathleen, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Lyons, brother, Floyd Linder; and God-grandchild, Danny Fender.



Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hagan Cemetery.
