Mrs. Marian Stanley Jones, 89, of Lodge, entered into eternal rest Monday morning, July 27, 2026, at her residence.

Born December 29, 1936, in Hampton County, she was the youngest child of the late Fird S. Stanley and Gertrude Davis Stanley. She was a retired nurse and then worked alongside her husband as a lab technician at his pathology practice. She was a lifelong member of Sandy Run Baptist Church. Marian was a devoted wife and mother who deeply loved her family. She enjoyed cooking for her family and always cared for everyone whether they were family, friends, or a stranger. She was a talented gardener and enjoyed tending to her flowers and plants. She also loved animals and would adopt every stray that came up.

Surviving are: her husband of 54 years, Dr. Marshall Jones of Lodge; daughters, Kay Delatorre and her husband Nick of Atlanta, Georgia, Kathy Wenzel and her husband Randy of Glendale, Arizona, Karen Penniston of St. Helena, South Carolina, and Tricia Petty of Columbia, South Carolina; grandchildren, Anna Fusco, Kelly Gutowski, Laura Wenzel, Ricky Derleth, Adam Derleth, Melissa Penniston, Trent Petty, and Camille Petty; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Jones; as well as her 7 sisters and 4 brothers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: Sandy Run Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Wednesday morning, July 29, 2026, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Home, Ehrhardt-Bamberg Chapel. Interment will be held privately at Ashton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation Wednesday morning from 10 o’clock until the hour of service.
