Biography

Mrs. Margaruite Cooler Tant, "MeMe", 79, of Frog Hollow Street, Varnville, entered into eternal rest Monday, January 2, 2012 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Sandy Run Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Sandy Run Cemetery.

Mrs. Tant was born April 19, 1932 in Hardeeville and was a daughter of the late Edgar and Lenora Cooler. She faithfully attended Sandy Run Baptist Church. She loved working with her flowers. She will always be remembered for the love she had for her family, especially her grandchildren and her dog, Joy.

Surviving are: her husband, Benjamin Harold Tant of Varnville; daughters, Diane Moseley and her husband Tommy of Varnville and Janet Kinard and her husband Wayne of Fairfax; sisters, Gloria DeLoach of Varnville and Reba Carroll and her husband Allen of Hardeeville; sister-in-law, Evelyn Tant of Brunson; aunts, Mary Butler and her husband Thad of Guyton, Georgia and Margaret Cooler of Hardeeville; grandchildren, Crystal Wooten and her husband Henry of Charleston, Lisa Murdaugh and her husband Linsey of Varnville, Al Kinard and his wife Becky of Barnwell, Jason Kinard and his companion Christina Reece of Barnwell, J.T. Moseley and his companion Robin McConnell of Hampton and Katrina Bridges and her husband James of Hampton; great grandchildren, Ashley Wooten, Tyler Wooten, Kinsley Kinard, Brianna Murdaugh, Al Kinard, III, Natalie Wooten, Aliona Kinard, Joel Murdaugh, Cassie Bridges, Jamie Bridges, Brooke Bridges, Matthew Moseley, Haley Moseley and T.J. Mosely; great grandchild, Maci Lorraine Barnes; special friend, Mattie Matthews of Varnville; and several nieces and nephews.
